Luke Pash Splits 4:10 On Anchor To Lift Ridgewood NJ In National Lead By Doug Binder, DyeStat Editor The opportunity to put together a competitive distance medley relay is always one of the features of the New Jersey Varsity Classic at The Armory, and Monday the Ridgewood boys made the most of it. Luke Pash split 4:10.9 on the anchor leg to help his team move to US#1 in the DMR with a time of 10:16.28. Monroe-Woodbury NY was second with US#4 10:26.73 and Downingtown West PA was third with US#7 10:27.58 Sophomore twins Nicholas Mazzeo and Alexander Mazzeo from Lower Merion PA went 1-2 in the boys 3,200 meters, running 9:20.62 and 9:21.10, respectively. Nicholas Mazzeo also won the 1,600 in 4:23.01. Patrick Kurtz from Pascack Valley NJ won the boys 800 in US#13 1:54.51. Freshman Blair Bartlett from the Lawrenceville School NJ won the girls 3,200 meters in 10:53.71. Sofia Swindell, also of the Lawrenceville School, won the triple jump (36-5.50), 200 (24.57) and 55-meter hurdles (8.23). Haverford Township PA won a close race with Radnor PA to win the girls DMR, 12:45.96 to 12:47.21. |
