North Rockland, Bronxville Move To Top of DMR Rankings By Doug Binder, DyeStat Editor Katelyn Tuohy took the baton in fifth place Monday for North Rockland NY at the Varsity Classic at The Armory. The national record holder and champion moved up quickly, taking the lead 300 meters into her 1,600-meter leg of the distance medley relay. Tuohy sped through a 4:45 anchor leg and brought North Rockland to the finish line in 12:00.50 for the fastest time in the country so far this year. Watch Race Videos | John Nepolitan PHOTOS In the boys race, the Rizzo brothers carried the majority of the responsibility in a 10:20.79 clocking that pushed Bronxville to the top of the national list. Matt Rizzo led off for Bronxville and built a 50-meter lead by the time he delivered the baton to his teammate. Later, Alex Rizzo covered the anchor leg in 4:17 to cap the US#1 performance. Talitha Diggs of Saucon Valley PA ran 55.10 to win the girls 400 meters. Aja Davis from Lower Merion PA swept the girls sprints, taking the 55-meter dash (7.04) as well as the 200 (25.53). Union Catholic NJ's Elijah Brown won the boys 800 meters in 1:55.18. Kaeli Thompson of Warwick Valley NY cleared 13-0 to win the pole vault. Sydney Woods of Northern Valley-Demarest NJ also made 13-0.
